Naira Marley and Sam Larry Released as They Meet Bail Requirements in Mohbad Case

 

The Lagos State Police Command has officially released Azeez Fashola, widely known as Naira Marley, and his close associate, Samson Erinfolami Balogun, aka Sam Larry, after fulfilling the conditions for their bail.

The release took place on the evening of Friday, November 17. Earlier, on November 6, a Magistrate’s Court in Yaba, Lagos State, had granted bail to both individuals, setting the amount at N20 million with three responsible sureties.

The arrest and subsequent court appearance stemmed from allegations of their involvement in the controversial death of Naira Marley's former signee, Mohbad, on September 12. 

Following the bail hearing on November 6, Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun mandated the defendants to submit their passports and ordered them to report weekly to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti.
