Polaris Bank and Evolve Charity Expand Educational Support for Schools in Imo State

 

Polaris Bank, in collaboration with Evolve Charity, has demonstrated its commitment to advancing girl-child education in Nigeria

through a generous donation of educational materials to public secondary school students in Imo State.

As part of its ongoing 'Girl-Child Education Project' and in line with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) framework, Polaris Bank distributed essential school supplies to over 500 students in Akokwa High School, Iheme; Memorial School, and National High School, Aro Ndi Uzoogu, all located in Imo State.

The donation included school uniforms, school bags, sandals, and various writing materials, with the aim of empowering and supporting the girl-child through education. This initiative, aligned with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) International Day of the Girl (IDG), reflects Polaris Bank's dedication to bringing about positive change in local communities.

Nwokoro Ifeyinwa, Business Development Manager at Polaris Bank, Urualla Branch, emphasized the transformative power of education during the event. She stated, "In the pursuit of knowledge, we find the key to unlocking boundless opportunities. Godwin Ejeh, the representative of Evolve Charity Trust, echoed the commitment to education, emphasizing that the collaboration with Polaris Bank goes beyond a partnership. Students, such as Imbomi Ikechekwu Kenneth from Akokwa High School, expressed gratitude for the opportunity provided by Polaris Bank and Evolve Charity. Agodi Blessing, another student, recognized the importance of addressing global issues like climate change through free education for the girl child. She thanked Polaris Bank and Evolve Charity for their generosity and the valuable opportunity provided to the girls.

The Principals of the benefiting schools also conveyed their heartfelt appreciation, emphasizing the positive impact of the initiative on the academic development of the students.
