A 26-year-old individual from Kano, Nigeria, is marking a joyous occasion as he celebrates his attainment of US citizenship, a significant milestone that comes three years after his marriage to an older American woman.

Suleiman Isah, a resident of Kano, has achieved American citizenship after his marriage to Janine Reimann, a US citizen. Isah and Reimann tied the knot on December 13, 2020, when Isah was 23 years old. Their initial connection was established through Instagram, a social media platform, approximately ten months before their wedding.

Ms. Reimann, a skilled chef hailing from Lindon, California, traveled to Nigeria for their wedding, which took place at the Barracks Mosque in Panshekara.

Fast forward to May 2023, Isah made a significant announcement by revealing his decision to join the US Army. He took to his Facebook page on Thursday, October 26, 2023, to celebrate his new American citizenship, expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to serve in the United States military and to become a citizen of the United States of America. In a heartfelt post, he wrote, "Alhamdulillah, I am grateful to have served in the world's strongest military. Thanks to the United States military for giving me the opportunity to serve and become an American citizen. I am now an American."
