Dele Momodu, a prominent figure within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has expressed his support for Rufai Oseni, an anchor at Arise Television.
In a recent incident on Monday, October 30, Rufai Oseni engaged in a heated exchange with Jesutega Onakpasa, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The clash revolved around discussions on the policies of President Bola Tinubu and the challenging economic situation in the country. A video capturing this altercation quickly went viral, with APC supporters criticizing Oseni, while those from the opposition defended him.
Taking to Instagram on a Friday, Dele Momodu stepped in to defend Rufai Oseni. He articulated, "I have come across numerous articles, essays, comments, and commentaries scrutinizing Rufai Oseni's interviewing style on ARISE NEWS TELEVISION. Many of these critiques have been sharp and at times, acrimonious. Is he deserving of criticism? Why not? All of us who engage in critiquing others should anticipate occasional reactions of anger, but it's essential to keep the discourse civil."
He continued, "In any case, I'm an ardent admirer of Rufai Oseni, acknowledging his imperfections. My admiration is rooted in his intellectual acumen, which is both formidable and self-assured. His unique interviewing style has the ability to captivate and sometimes exasperate his critics and admirers in equal measure. I'm writing this to encourage him. He should continue to be brilliant and unwavering. May God bless him abundantly."
