Senate President Godswill Akpabio emphasized that he has never consumed alcohol or smoked cigarettes throughout his life due to their adverse effects on the human body.
Speaking to secondary school students during the grand finale of the National Quiz Competition organized by the National Institute For Legislative And Democratic Studies, Akpabio praised the schools that reached the finals and offered guidance to the young participants.
He encouraged the youth to avoid indulging in vices that could hinder their dreams and aspirations.
Specifically, Akpabio urged them to steer clear of alcohol consumption and smoking, emphasizing the potential harm to their health.
In his address, he urged the students to aspire to become visionary leaders by abstaining from behaviors that might jeopardize their goals.
