"Two Abducted Spouses of Jigawa Local Government Chairman Successfully Rescued"

The two abducted spouses of Hon. Nasiru Ahmed Kiyawa, Chairman of Kiyawa Local Government in Jigawa State, have been successfully freed from captivity.

Last Friday night, a group of armed individuals carried out an attack on the residence of the local government chairman, resulting in the kidnapping of his two wives.

In a statement issued on the evening of Tuesday, November 7, DSP Lawan Adam Shiisu, the spokesperson for the State Police Command, confirmed the release of the kidnapped women. He disclosed that the two wives of the Kiyawa Local Government Chairman were found and set free by their abductors in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State. Subsequently, they were joyfully reunited with their family members.

The statement did not provide details regarding whether a ransom was paid for their release.
