President Tinubu Touches Down in Riyadh for Saudi-Africa Summit

 


President Bola Tinubu has touched down in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, gearing up for the upcoming Saudi-Africa Summit set to unfold on Friday, November 10.


In the heart of the Middle East, a warm reception awaited President Tinubu, courtesy of ministers, National Assembly members, and other distinguished government figures present at the airport.


The presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, emphasized that this visit holds significant weight, serving as a robust endorsement of the administration's ongoing domestic economic reforms.


Anticipated dialogues during the inaugural Saudi-Africa Summit will pivot around fostering collaborative efforts, bolstering political harmony, and strategizing responses to regional security challenges.


Additionally, the summit aims to catalyze economic transformation through research and the local development of innovative energy solutions. This initiative is poised to catalyze cross-sectoral investment cooperation, as highlighted by Ngelale.


Accompanying the President on this diplomatic venture are esteemed figures including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Tuggar; Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman; and the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance, Mr. Wale Edun.


The delegation further includes the National Security Adviser (NSA), Malam Nuhu Ribadu; the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Amb. Ahmed Rufai Abubakar; and the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Malam Jalal Arabi.


Following the culmination of the Saudi-Africa Summit, President Tinubu is slated to return to Abuja, marking the end of this diplomatic mission.
