The 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has expressed his condolences in response to a recent natural disaster at a secondary school in Anambra State.
Over the weekend, Tansi International College was struck by lightning during a rainstorm, leaving nine students injured. Unfortunately, three of the students lost their lives, while the others are currently receiving medical treatment.
Peter Obi shared his thoughts on the matter, saying, "I am deeply saddened by the unfortunate natural disaster that occurred at Tansi International College, Awka, this weekend.
It was reported that 9 students from the college were struck by lightning on Saturday, November 4, during a rainstorm. Regrettably, 3 students lost their lives, and the others are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
My heartfelt condolences go out to the families of the deceased, the students, and the college's management. May God grant them the strength to endure this significant loss, eternal rest to the departed, and a swift recovery to the injured."
