On November 8, 2023, Migrant Rescue Watch reported the apprehension of a Nigerian man in Libya on charges of murdering his infant child.
As per the announcement, the individual in question is suspected of deliberately ending the life of his own newborn by administering chlorine, subsequently concealing the body in a shallow grave located on the very farm where he was employed.
The Western Region Support Forces took the initiative to detain this Nigerian migrant worker on account of this grave crime.
Presently, the accused remains in custody, awaiting the formal referral to the Public Prosecution for further legal proceedings.
