The Israeli Air Force has announced that it conducted strikes on 600 targets in Gaza over a 24-hour period. These targets included weapons storage facilities, hiding places, gatherings of Hamas members, and anti-tank positions.
During one incident, a fighter jet targeted a building housing more than 20 Hamas members. In another case, a fighter jet was directed to an anti-tank missile launching site in the vicinity of Al-Azhar University.
Israel also reported conducting strikes in Syria and Lebanon, stating that these actions were in response to attacks originating from both of those countries.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) mentioned that during clashes with terrorists in Gaza, IDF troops killed dozens of terrorists who had taken refuge in buildings and tunnels and attempted to assault the troops. There have been reports of heavy fighting in northwest Gaza, as acknowledged by Hamas.
Save the Children issued a statement indicating that the number of children killed in Gaza over three weeks has exceeded the annual count of children killed in conflict zones worldwide since 2019. This figure stands at more than 3,000 children in the Israeli-Gaza conflict.
The Israeli military made an urgent call on Sunday for Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip to temporarily evacuate southward, away from the center of the conflict against Hamas, with the aim of ensuring their personal safety. Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, the chief spokesperson, emphasized the urgency of this call during a televised briefing. Additionally, he reported that the number of people confirmed as held hostage in Gaza since Hamas' cross-border attack on October 7th in southern Israel has reached 239.
Israel also reported that its ground forces killed several Hamas militants as they emerged from a tunnel near the Erez crossing, which served as the sole pedestrian passage from Gaza into Israel before it was destroyed in the recent hostilities.
